Welcome to the Holiday Season in “Fabulous Las Vegas.” Being located in the desert, holidays come and visit us in a much different way. Our central focus point is the Strip, in all its dazzling glory. Each hotel and attraction decorates for the holiday in their own fashion making Las Vegas an exceptionally unique destination.

Ice Skating on top of the Cosmopolitan

During the Holidays, Las Vegas has so many fun and exciting things to offer for families as well as couples looking for a romantic getaway. One thing that easily applies for both would be ice skating on the roof of the Cosmopolitan. The Ice Rink has a lot to experience between November 20th and January 10th. They not only have an amazing view of The Strip and delicious winter inspired treats, but on Mondays they have Date Skate that shows family friendly holiday movies for all to enjoy while special snow showers appear every 30 minutes to make the time you spend that much more magical.

Within a short walk from the Cosmopolitan is an amazing art installation that changes with the seasons at the Atrium located inside of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Once inside it is almost like you have been transported into a winter wonderland making you feel as if you were in the middle of a snow globe. From December 2nd through January 6th, you can come and enjoy the feeling of the holiday spirit with enough Christmas trees and snow to make you forget that you are in the middle of the Nevada desert.

A few minutes off the strip is a local chocolate shop named Ethel M’s. There you can enjoy fresh hot chocolate, try delicious chocolate samples, all while looking at beautiful Christmas lights that adorn their cactus garden.

Each year Ethel M’s works hard to out shine the last, and this year will be no different. Multicolored lights, icicles, and inflatable decorations cover the trees and ground just around the walkways really making you feel the holiday spirit. This location is perfect to bring your kids for a desert photo opp with Santa or go on a romantic stroll with your special someone.

There are plenty of dining locations here on the Las Vegas Strip that are perfect for kids and adults alike. One of the more popular and unique dining attractions would be the Rainforest Cafe sitting in Planet Hollywood. There you will be surrounded by lifelike animatronic jungle animals and hourly rain showers that the kids will go crazy for! If you’re looking for more of a romantic night then look no further than Mon Ami Gabi located in the Paris. It offers delicious food where you can sit inside, for a more intimate experience, or you can sit on the terrace outside and it serves as a wonderful place to people watch.

All hotels have optimal shopping for your trip, each one adorned with their own holiday decorations that make you feel at home. Here you can shop for family, friends, and yourself finding exactly what you need. Located on the North end of the Las Vegas Strip, there is the Fashion Show Mall that has all the indoor shopping you could ever want. If you want to get some fresh air, down on the South end of the Strip is Town Square. Town Square is an open air mall where you can shop and grab a bite to eat. They even have a park area where your children can meet Santa. Town Square also hosts a fun local nightlife where couples can go and grab a drink away from the crowds on the Strip.

If you’re feeling a little bit overwhelmed by the crowds in the city, you can always take a detour to the outskirts of Sin City. Just outside of Las Vegas and Boulder City lies an old mining town named Nelson. There they offer a glimpse back into the Old Wild West history of Nevada where you can take a walk through time and get to experience the inside of an old mine. There you get a tour of the historic Techatticup Mine which is one of the oldest, richest, and most famous gold mines in Southern Nevada.

The Eldorado Canyon Mine Tour is one off the beaten path, especially for the Holidays. When everyone is flocking to other attractions, you can join us on a half day tour to see what amazing things nature has to offer! It is a tour for all ages to enjoy and remember.

So come, experience Las Vegas the way locals do during the Holidays. I promise you won’t regret it.
